Maybe those guys are gay and try to turn you on!

Thanked: 16There's an old guy at my gym who insists on on sitting naked (on a towel) while reading the paper for about 10 mins while he "air dries".

Thanked: 20That was my thought from the first. Here, in Atlanta, there was a gym located in the Atlanta financial district that had a spa (hot tub) in the men's locker room. It became a "cruising zone" and if I remember correctly this gym has closed. There was a men's spa (think metrosexual) not far from this gym and it closed within a year because the straight customers became outnumbered and became intimidated.

Slightly OT: You wouldn't believe how many responses along these lines I got years ago on another forum when I mentioned I was going to do an internship in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was amusing to read about "Yeah, be careful there, they might 'lure you in'". Hilarious. Responding that I'm from Holland and at the time regularly visited Amsterdam and had not been pulled over to the dark side did help. (I'm straight myself, but I couldn't care less whether someone's gay or not).
I went to a gym here in Sweden for some time. A hardcore bodybuilders gym, not one of the big chain preppy (and horrendously expensive!) chains. Sure, nudity all over in the locker room, but "normal", not the show-off kind. I think rectally relieving oneself in the shower would result in leaving the building between 6 boards of wood.![]()
