Well, here we go again...global warming is NOT measurement of what happens in texas, new jersey, australia, spain, or any particular place. It's a measurement of global temperatures. And if you can cite to any sources that contradict what I'm saying, please let me know. Again, so I'm clear about what I'm saying: the vast majority of the warmest global temperatures ever recorded have occurred within the past 10-12 years. If you have national weather service sources that say differently, as my friend Eric Cartman says: "Present them"...

Thanked: 431It is global, right? But even though it's 'global' that doesn't really mean what would be the standard definition of 'global'? Therefore some places or a lot of places could actually break 70 year record lows. Recorded how, by who, when and where, and verified how and by who? I have at least a half a dozen thermometers some nicer or at least more expensive than others all calibrated by national standards and they don't read the same, and I have worked with literally thousands of different and various different types of sensors and transmitters also calibrated to national standards and if you line them up and look at them they don't all read the same, and even if you check them at some point that doesn't mean that they are linear. So, on top of things I don't trust their methods of recording their 'data'. And I've pointed out before also that me and friends of mine and countless others have certain and known recognizable rocks on coastlines all over the place that we have used and known of for decades (some more decades than others), rocks that are big enough to stand on or even park a truck on to fish off of that are and have been in the water ever since we've found them - and they are still there, not getting covered by alleged rising water levels caused by 'global warming'.
Come on brothuh, you need intervention, you're in denial.

So now you"re saying we can't believe the science because the instruments the climatologists utilize to measure temperatures are unreliable? Just a few posts ago you told me you knew global temperatures had been dropping over the last few years and now you're saying we can't believe the data because the instruments are flawed. If that was the case, what information were you relying on when you said temperatures have been dropping over the past 3 winters:("Don't you watch the current news? We are entering the third record winter in a row. Breaking records from the 1930's man") I presume someone used thermometers to take the dropping temperatures you were referrong to?
Look: I put forth a proposition and backed it up with source material. If all you've got is "my thermometers don't all agree" and "the rocks look the same to me", I'm outta here.
It's been real...uh...enlightening..Last edited by billyjeff2; 11-30-2009 at 03:07 AM.

Thanked: 431No. You got nothin'. You can't prove any of that nonsense. Especially the small variations that the phoney alarmists claim.
I thought that you were out o' here??
Well, at least you aren't a quiter like some, but devotion and sincerity to something that is a lie is still no good.
HA HA!! BUSTED!
Look BJ, your poor head is on fire/exploding or something, is that the globe that is warming?Last edited by ControlFreak1; 11-30-2009 at 03:47 AM.

Perhaps you may recall the point of our recent bout of verbal intercourse. I asserted a proposition. Backed it up with facts and source material. You said the opposite. I asked you to back up what you asserted. You retorted with rocks on the beach and broken thermometers. Sorry my friend, that ain't no proof. Where I come from, we call what you came up with "nuthin"".
But I'm a fair man. Fairer than most, anyway. Want to give it one more shot before we call it a night? Last time. Tell me: What is your authority to assert that most of the highest yearly global temperature readings on record have NOT been recorded over the past 10-12 years? If all you got is broken thermometers and rocks on the beach, don't bother to reply. Everyone saw that act already. They all got up and left the theater.

Thanked: 431Facts? 'Source' material? Ya and the government has facts and source material about the economy and other things that they want everyone to believe in order for gain too. You're supposing that people with an agenda who put out data are not only correct but also honest (giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are actually honest, but then again maybe you have an alterior motive too), and admit it any sources that don't agree with you, you will just discount or question their honesty or reliability like you already have. Where you come from they call that 'NUTHIN!'.
