The Climatic Research Unit e-mail hacking incident refers to a November 2009 incident involving the hacking and leaking of e-mails and documents on climate change research from the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia U.K.

Excerpts from the leaked correspondence have been promoted by global warming sceptics, who say the private correspondence shows that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change.

The problem is the correspondence was taken by those who have a point to prove Global Warming is folly and what they did is take things out of context and sliced and diced much of the material to make it fit their agenda.

It certainly contains some interesting email conversations that make it difficult not to suspect that these guys are not interested in unbiased science, but to get their point across at all costs.

Anyway, I'll maybe cut the last few points off the filtered curve before I
give the talk again as that's trending down as a result of the end effects
and the recent cold-ish years.

Reminiscent of what was done with 'second hand smoke' data. Quite bit of BS in the 'scientific' data on that to promote the anti smoking agenda regardless of the facts.

It's a hoax. Don't tell me you're gonna fall for this just because it supports your belief.

Than the flip side is: you don't believe it just because it doesn't support yours

The electronic break in itself has been verified by the director of the research unit, Professor Phil Jones. He told Britain’s Investigate magazine's TGIF Edition "It was a hacker. We were aware of this about three or four days ago that someone had hacked into our system and taken and copied loads of data files and emails."

global warming/climate change or whatever else you want to call it is a joke. most of al gore and followers will not even address questions brought to them if it opposes their views. just like the statement that polar bears are drowning and dying off, when in reality the population is growing.
