The only thing that one can say with any certainty is that this subject polarises opinion. Every column inch that gets written is slanted one way or the other.

I've reviewed some of these reports and general findings posted on the site that was hacked.

From the information posted, I see a trend of warming. Also, I see a trend that this warming is not initiated by man. Of course I think man does contribute to this warming with the burning of fossil fuels and such ... but not to the level in which the Copenhagen treaty (or whatever they are called) would want us all to believe.

After reviewing this information, I would side with the hackers posting bonafide information/documents.

Modifying the data to push a political agenda?

You betcha.

It's plainly a conspiracy between scientists. There is no real evidence of global warming.
And of course, there is no real evidence that smoking causes cancer. I know this because the tobacco industry had scientists say it doesn't.

And that claim about asbestos causing lung cancer-more baloney. Just a bunch of trial attorneys trying to put "Big Business" out of business.

Don't even get me started about the hype over lead paint...

Our contribution to global warming is not fake. It is unfortunately true. Just because most of us do not see or feel the actual occurance does not mean it is not happening. There is plenty of evidence showing that man made pollutants are affecting the environment in a global way.
