GoP won't run Palin for Pres. She would get, oh so very destroyed by Obama. Obama could take a 3 year vacation leading up to the election, announce that he is a secret muslim communist who plans on supporting a reparations bill, who also eats kittens... and still destroy Palin.

The Right can only win by moving center. Bush destroyed their chances of a winning to the right, by running center, then governing right, then running right and governing more right... and leaving with an ~ 25% approval rating. Maybe 2016 a more "right" republican will have a chance, but 2012 is too soon for the moderates and libertarians wounds to have healed from the machete Bush took to individual rights.

No offense to any fans of hers, but Palin is a very unintelligent woman. She spouts right wing bulletpoints and platitudes, but if you watch her for awhile, you can clearly see that she doesn't even understand the words coming out of her mouth. She's basically the opposite of Cheney. Cheney knew what was going on, but refused to let people know what he was thinking. She believes she can make you see just how well she understands everything, so she babbles nonsensically, reciting whatever buzzwords she can remember with a wide grin on her lips and eyes that betray her thought process.

    ...

    She's thinking, "Nailed it!"

W live in different worlds if you believe that Bush governed to the right. In fact the average Republican/conservative is unhappy with Bush precisely because he didn't govern to the right.
As far as Palin goes, that is yet to be seen.

He was a perfect example of a compassionate conservative. Just look at the number of executions he signed off on when governor of Texas.

The world has ended! My old world did at least, and as it says in the Bible a new one began. In the old world I shaved once a week with a six month old cheap disposable. Shaving was miserable curse.

After my enlightenment, introduction to the true path; the old world, old way of thinking passed away.

The End is like that: change the way you look at things and the things you look at change

I'll tell you one thing that is in the bible that gives me pause... In 2 Peter 3:10

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

Now I know that biblical scholars think that someone other than Peter wrote this long after Peter died but one way or the other it was still written in antiquity. The first time I read that I immediately thought of atomic war. What could have put that vision into the mind of a man living in the first century ?

See Jimmy to me that means a Comet or large Asteroid strike....
Which we have evidence has happened on Earth in the past, whether one of these wiped out the dinosaurs is still a matter of discussion... But I could see the cycle starting all over again without mankind on Earth from another large strike...
