I guess you could say before this past year I'd use an electric pot from the 70's. We have three, a Krups, a Mr. Coffee and a Cuisinart. I use a Braun hand grinder when I grind. Occasionally I'd go to one of the expensive custom coffee houses around here and try something new.

Two Christmases ago we got a Keurig brewer that takes the K-cups. I went absolutely NUTSO buying coffee. Some are great, some are compost. The amount I've spent would have bought a couple of really nice Wackers. I'm spending my kids inheritance NOW!

Every morning in the winter I get my brew from 7-11. I know, it's blasphemy. I like the Fusion blend. I have a Brew-Keg that holds an entire pot and since it's a refill, It's only $.85. That's a killer deal! I don't drink coffee in the summer while I work, it's just too hot here. But weekends in the air conditioning I still drink at least a pot-a-day on my days off.

In our ever-convenient society, I guess it comes down to the amount of time we want to spend on the finer things in life. Some of those coffee makers look awesome. I chose the straight razor shave because of not only tradition, but because it's superior. The same thing could be said about coffee making. If I wanted to do everything the old-fashioned way, it would be extremely time consuming. Work would be a hobby for me!

I like coffee sweet with cream. I really like the Coffeemate and International Delight sweetened creamers. I take two Sweet-n-Low with every cup. Yeah, that makes the average person's tongue hairs curl. Sugar just loads me down. Once in a while I like my coffee black.

    Great thread MrLastway!

I first grind the coffee beans, then place the freshly ground coffee in the basket of my 8-10 Bunn electric coffee maker. I usually make six cups to drink in the morning.

The Bunn has a water reservoir that always heats the water, so it brews coffee really fast--a feature I need on workdays.

I just got a coffee press for Xmas as a backup in case I accidentally break the pot to the Bunn one morning.

I have a 'French Press in reverse' thing called an Aeropress - works like a champ and SO much better than drip coffee.
