This all reminds me of why Pirates had people walk the plank eh?
No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Because we pirates don't stand for such ridiculousness, especially not on our own ships where we are master and commander!
I agree with the previous post about freedom of speech pertaining to governments and public spaces. This forum is not the United States of America, or any other country for that matter. This is a private place in international territory, and it's owner and those who represent the owner wield absolute power. That is the nature of a forum, and everyone who signs up must agree to those terms. If one does not agree, cannot sign up. For a member to say that the Admins and Mods do not have absolute power on the forum is a total contradiction in and of itself.

Hmmm...Well, since I appear to have been a part of this (The initial "accusation" of spamming anti-Obama rhetoric was mine...) I guess I should weight in, but all I have to say is...thank you.
In my opinion, with all things there is a time and a place ("for every thing there is a season", I believe it goes). As far as I could tell, the poster in question felt that ALL the time and EVERY place was appropriate to express his political opinions. Some people think this is the American Way (falsely, I might add, according to the Supreme Court). However, by placing his opinions in places where it was no longer possible to avoid him (until I turned on the old ignore switch, of course) he was, frankly, becoming extremely intrusive. I'm sorry that my words in some way instigated this, but I honestly feel the outcome was inevitable.
Some people just don't know when to quit...
