I’ve called you nothing sir, and if you took a personal position on my elitist comment then maybe the shoe fits.
That's like saying, "I didn't call you stupid, stupid." And yes you did. You weren't expressing a viewpoint or an opinion; you were scolding me with nothing more in mind than the intent to embarrass. You started off by making the automatic inference of "Stupid is as stupid does" by changing the wording a tad. So you managed to call me stupid and petty before you even started with your narrative. Someone does not have to hit me in the back of the head to tell me that I had just been insulted. I treat people the way they treat me.

Humm… not much different from the response you got from the seller now is it?
That's good... two points for you.

belittle me over my auction, not knowing my background or knowledge base over the item I’m selling.
You can go back and read. I was not after the seller who just doesn't have a clue. I send polite and informative emails to those people. Guess what? They write back and thank me. I suggested emailing those who intentionally mislead potential buyers. I agree that saying something like, "As a member of SRP, I am telling you that you have to change the description of your auction because it is misleading." That... in my opinion, is elitist. I would not even suggest something like that.

I’m sure the seller you’ve isolated in this thread, would approve of your “two word response”.
Another zinger. I don't need his OR your approval for anything that I do, thank you very much.

That sir is a very elitist position and demeaning to anyone
    Again, because you say so?

Especially, considering there is no intent or attempt to buy
What? Are you kidding me? Of course it's the intent. Maybe not for me, but for someone who is new at this and doesn't know any better. Guess what? That item wasn't sold, and it wasn't relisted. Sounds like the deserved insult worked. There is someone out there that will not get a piece of crap razor because of something that I said. Now if that seller said that he thought the blade was beyond its usefulness and maybe the scales could be salvaged... that would be good. But to say that it was typical wear, is lying and they knew it. They need to be called on it, or is that ok with you? I am one of those people who say something to the person who cuts in line. People only do what they know they can get away with. You should know that from your old job. Unless you were admin. Then I would understand why you have said what you have thus far.

    That in fact is harassment
That just went from opinion to a declaration. Here's mine... NO IT'S NOT!

...calling for members to email a seller for no reason other than just to see what happens is petty.
That's not the intent, and you know that. The intent is to get the seller to be honest, with the best of his ability, for the things he sells. I'm also not suggesting that the site needs to suddenly become the razor police. I am only saying that there are times when some of these sellers need to be clued in and that their deceptive tactics may hurt them in the long run. If they got 5 emails making fun of their pristine razor with typical wear, maybe they would knock it off. Providing their home address would be harassment. But it's not harassment sending an email on the very same vehicle they are using to try to pawn off this junk... in my opinion.

I didn’t see anywhere on said auction where that razor was stated as “shave ready”. No sir.
Your confusing this auction with the one you got burned over.
Geez... I know that. It was a generic statement intending to cover all of those no-scruples sellers. I was trying to figure out where in the heck you came up with random. Maybe I need to look up the word again, cause I basically thought that random meant something like picking a number out of the hat. Apparently, it means something else.

In addition... it was pretty much venting. I really didn't visualize a vigilante committee hunting down the bad guys. And I didn't say you were pretentious. That word was a replacement adjective for the word opinion. I was saying your opinion wasn't humble, that it was pretentious. The synonym for that would be your Berkley opinion. Not being from CA, you may not understand that. Maybe Haaah-vud opinion is recognizable as that one is used a little more. Berkley opinion may only be for us Fresno farmers.

Ahhh… and the Coup De’Gras, an attempt at my character?? Now that really IS petty sir.
Sorry... I meant nothing more than just to illustrate being on opposite sides of the globe on the matter. I'd say the same thing about Jane Fonda.
