I'm a member of SMF, the 1911 forum, and Smith and Wesson Forum for info about concealed carry. I was on one forum briefly, I joined because there was a question about straight razor shaving. And it had gone forever without anyone answering. It was like "anyone ever try it and is it hard to learn?" It was some kind of backwoods forum and I was in the like frugal living section. Some guys were sick of shaving cartridge prices and were asking about shaving with a straight. I explained a little about it but I probably didnt do a great job of promoting it. I mentioned that it could be a cheap way to shave but that for me it was more about the joy, challenge of learning, etc. The poster was more concerned about whether it was hard to learn. Ofcourse others jumped in too, usually to complain about how hard it was to learn and to not bother with it. Most of the posts on the site were about how to reuse paper towels and stuff like dumpster diving to get food.

I've been collecting watches for many years now so I usually check out Timezone and the Seiko and Citizen Forums.

Just a bunch of fat guys talking about how they can stuff their faces, but mostly how dreamy the Hamon is on their Hitachi Aogami #2 Honyaki mirror finish Wa-Gyuto with Togidashi sharpening.

I still don't understand how there are no razors coming out of Seki.
