Thanked: 2591Notre Dame are nobodies, and super over hyped, I can imagine what kind of hype they gonna get this year with Kelly as HC..
For me the "hate" to SEC comes from constant media anointment, and arrogance of most of the fan base. SEC is presented as GODs conference which looking @ say bowl record this year does not show.
Florida was #1 all season while playing 1 D1 school (FSU) in the OOC schedule, that's over hyping imo. I am not saying there are no good teams in the SEC, there certainly are but all the constant anointment just makes me sick.Stefan

Well the BS (or BCS) system seems to think the SEC is stronger. There are more highly ranked teams in them usually at the first of the year. Plus if Cincy, OSU, Cal, Texas, Oklahoma or any of these other great teams played SEC schedules they would never make the top ten. My sources for the stats on Mark Ingram were Kirk Herbstreet of ESPN. He could be wrong and so could I.
I agree the SEC is over-hyped, but they are more deserving than any other conference for it. Plus this is why we need a playoff system. The other conferences won't allow it because the second best team in the SEC was probably the true second best in the country. The BS gives the other conferences a chance where the playoff would knock the losers out in the first two rounds.

very weak argument, what you mean by SEC schedule? the conference? SEC has 2 good teams and bunch of mid of the road teams.
SEC OOC schedule was a joke , Alabama played one D1A team and 3 1-aa teams, Florida same. SEC bowl record 4-4 that's hardly anything to boast about.
Big 10 went 5-1 (1-0 vs SEC) this year and the ACC 3-3 and 2-0 against SEC,ESPN anoints SEC because they have a new billion dollar contract with them for the next 5 yeas or so.
