    Default Haitian Tragedy

I've never been involved in a natural disater. I can't imagine what it must be like to have your entire world destroyed. I had a girlfriend for a few years who was born on Martinique to a French father and a Haitian mother. She was living in New Haven when we were together. She was attending Yale at the time. Our relationship ended when she moved to Haiti to work on some heavy duty charity projects. She was actually helping to build an orphanage and medical center. I got a call from her brother today. She was one of the most beautiful women I ever met. Her name was Junice.

Even though I am trying to sell everything I own just to pay my bills and get new eyeglasses, I am going to send a few dollars to help those who are still alive. Junice would have liked that.
