    The news report I heard said that an aircraft carrier and a detachment of marines is on the way but days away. There are two USA groups expert in digging people out of this kind of wreckage leaving today for Port Au Prince. Other countries are also sending relief but if I understand the situation correctly shelter will be a problem for all even when the first responders arrive.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
