    Thumbs up

With the earth's population on an asymptotic climb I think it is a delightfully wonderful goal to have all cured of everything disease so we can all breed with marvelous fruitfulness and live forever doing so.

You do the oofa-ooffa dance with your wife, if you catch my drift, and 4 weeks later remove the "cell tissue" that will be used to treat you. It will be as close a genetic match as you can get, customized especially for you.

    Any moral implications to that?
a bit off topic, but just to ask, do you think that birth control is wrong?

Well.. this is the only real rational con to stem cell research I've heard and agree with. If we fix everybody up so they live for a really long time, we're eventually going to run out of room/resources.

    I don't have a solution to that one .

It's still going to always come down to who's got the money and who can afford the treatment, and so the rich will keep on keeping on and the poor will continue to be stuck.

    Good point, Bruce.

+1. And being more compatible than the above chemicals will likely have less side effects too.

Personally, no, I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with birth control.
