Thanked: 137I am personally sick of nations damaging/threatening the rest of the world. China is one of the worst offenders IMO, spewing out tonnes of pollution and stonewalling all attempts to get it to reduce its pollution output. They ignore international calls for clemency in the execution of a foreign national with a mental illness, or any international condemnation at all for that matter, claiming that any international pressures are meddling in their 'sovereignty'. China also ploughs on with infrastructure projects with little or no consideration for the environment or effects on other SE-Asian countries, which has contributed to the presumed extinction of the Yangtze River Dolphin, and the threatening of rare giant fish that live below the 3 Gorges dam through massive industrial pollution, to name only two examples. They also do little to curb the trade in rare species for "traditional medicine", resulting in poaching of endangered species for this so-called medicine.
Similarly, we have tinpot little nations like Iran and North Korea flexing military 'muscles' by enriching uranium against UN orders or having unecessary border conflicts with their neighbours, all the while refusing to listen to reason or accept deals offered that would help their countries immensely. The stupidity and arrogance of these dictators is amazing and infuriating.
I read a book once called the Cobra Event, about a guy who engineers a deadly bioweapon to wipe out most of the human race (due to some extremist environmental reasons). On days when I'm at my most misanthropic, I can see where he's coming from, looking at how these stupid nations or ideologies are screwing up our planet and the natural world for the sake of appearing tough.

Humans are really very consistant. As our civilization progresses along with the good that comes with that the bad also increases. Its just at what point will the bad become strong enough to cause our demise?

My guess is a "space program" missile launch that puts another piece of hazardous junk into orbit, unless it crashes back to Earth. If it does, I hope it lands directly on Khameni, who is the real Devil in Iran.

Thanked: 431Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are both evil mad men and anti-semites of the most extreme kind and they couldn't care less about the living conditions of their people, they are evil power obsessed tyrants looking for the 12th Imam to come and take over and rule the world, with them in tow of course, very dangerous and unpredictable.

Funny, that; I just went to CNN.com and not a single thing mentioned anywhere that I saw about this threat. I also talked to someone who spend the day driving on business and listening to the radio. They hadn't heard of this threat either. If it's legit, it seems much more newsworthy that Michael Jackson's autopsy. Maybe the U.S. is in crisis capitalization preparation mode?
