I am so glad that some found humor in this thread. For those who didn't and blathered on about politics or trolling or mentoring or some other nonsense please lighten up and stop taking yourself so seriously.

look at his avatar, Brad. Of course he's a troublemaker and thrives on it. But so are and so do you - you and Mark are two peas at the opposite end of the same pod!

With great respect to the opinion of others, it often seems to me that a person's like or dislike of an individual, (in this case, two Presidents), result in bantering back and forth, using statistics, (often inaccurate), to support or castigate. As some know, a boon in the economy has more to do with things put in effect a few years before the event, than it does with whoever is sitting in the chair when the line breaks to the upside...Clinton enjoyed the benefit of measures taken before he was in office, and we now know that the continuation happened on the internet bubble, which, caused the crash that Bush got to deal with...as well...911 in all it's wonder was planned and put in effect long before Bush was sworn in...actually, while everyone was being giddy about that Dot.Com B.S. that was about to crash...we forgot the basics...essentially, were were drunk on the silly stuff.
Well, I hope we have learned that when someone says, "change" ask them exactly what they want to change, how they plan to change it and how much is it going to cost to change it and then, make them back it up wtih a few qualifications and facts. You and I and about 300 million others aren't ranting for a football team, we're suffering the results of those who represent us, representing themselves at our expense. The best way to do that by my way of thinking is to check the facts and not parrot someone last speech...here's some facts:
We owe over 1 1/2 trillion more today, than we did 1-year ago
Unemployment has climbed to over 10%, which is actually a 20% numerical increase of the number of unemployed about one year ago, (2% rise, very roughly is 20% of 10%). Bare in mind that this is probably a very conservative figure...as partial employment vs. full time employment are two very different things, and some states are much higher than 10%.
The Stimulus that needed to be passed right away because they needed to get that money in the system right away to stimulate jobs...only about 30% has been used so far, and a good portion of that for paying unemployment, pork barrel, and increasing government temp jobs...the question we should ask is why only 30% and what has the type of spending done to create jobs, not temporarily bump numbers until the cash runs out. Last, I bet that shortly before the fall elections, they dump a big portion of that money into the economy so the numbers go up, and people start to think, "it's working" and vote the same people back into office.
Finally, whether your for health care or not, doesn't really matter to me...but, consider the fact that the majority were against it, and Washington basically ignored their constituents...that single fact answers the problems referred to in the above and by a host of others here...they are not and have not well represented our interests...bankers are not to interested in all our great ideas, they want to see our track record, assests and then the logic of our plan/need for a loan before they cut us a check...we would do well to stop cheering/blaming and do a little thinking and consideration ourselves before we vote next time.
Hey, it just occurred to me that I've been here one year today...rather than do another post, I'll say I have really enjoyed the conversations here...all the help with my earlier questions...all in all a very fine community of individuals...sincerely, hats off to everyone and thanks to many for your help.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.
