Are you sure? The Senator has said that.

He's a typical politician, but (since elected) he's not pushing universal health care - at least not in any concrete way. I'd admit I don;t know what happens in the back room deals (See acknowledgment of politician)

Thanked: 259I DO NOT CARE ABOUT OTHER COUNTRIES AND THEIR HEALTH CARE!!!
furthermore where is it a right for everyone to have health care?
every U.S. citizen does not deserve health care when someone else has to pay for it again, since most who do not have health care are covered under many, many welfare programs.
also what about all the illegals that will be covered per Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed? they deserve nothing until they are legal U.S. residents.

Thanked: 431Heck millions of illegals are already leeching off of our system so bad that many hospitals have actually had to close down due to bankruptcy especially in southern California.
So, already, not only does every American citizen already have health care, but so do a bunch of theiving illegals.
But if you can afford it then you can, by paying for it, get the best health care in the world here.
That's why the big wigs from Europe and elsewhere come here to get it. Just like the leader from Canada recently came down here for his heart surgery, because up there by the time he could actually get it if he could get it he would only be in worse condition, which would just be another complication.
We don't need the rationing system like so many other countries have.
Instead of having varying degrees of care like we have here, with them everyone gets the same low quality crap and they have lower survival rates because of it while the crooked poli's scam as much moolah off of the system as they can. Ya, they really care for their people, don't they?Last edited by ControlFreak1; 02-18-2010 at 03:38 AM.

Too bad...we can learn from them. It works for them and the citizens are happy.
Where is it a right? How about Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Those are pretty hard to do when you're sick and dying and can't get treatment.
Also who are you to say who does and doesn't deserve health care. Don't you have any compassion for your fellow humans?

if you like their health care, you are free to move there and enjoy it to the fullest extent.
your pursuit of happiness stops when i have to pay for it.
everyone here gets health care if they want to look for it, i said earlier there are many, many welfare and other free programs just for the asking.
i have a right to not pay for others care, that is my right!!! my liberty, my pursuit of happiness is keeping my tax money away from those who are too lazy to work and earn their health care and all other things that i have to earn. i pay just under $300 a week for my health care. i have to work to pay the premiums, that ain't free...
as far as compassion goes, it stops when we as taxpayers have to support a bunch of freeloaders on society. i say, let them get a job and work for what they want and need such as health care, housing, food, utilities.

Good luck telling the IRS that you're not going to pay part of your taxes because it's your right to choose where your tax dollars go. You have a right to voice your opinion and vote accordingly, but it's not a citizen's right to not pay taxes.
What do you think the insurance companies do with your money? Do you really think that whatever you contribute to insurance gets put in a piggy bank marked "59caddy"? No, if you're healthy then the money you spend on insurance now goes to pay reimbursement for other people.
Be careful with those broad strokes you're painting with.
