A much more positive attitude would be to start working on the social side of the problem, rather than just thinking of your self. I wonder how far through education you, or your kids, would have got if you had to pay for full time private tuition? Or how useful your car would be if you had to pay for all the roads around you?

I wonder indeed, who will offer their hand to you in your hour of need, and will you consider them a sinner or a saint?
1. you too have missed my point as stated earlier. there is help for those that ask. those programs are paid for by my and others tax money. all you have to do is "ASK". i am not being superior, just saying that the programs already exist and why do we need another government run mess on our hands with cost overruns and waste.
2. all 3 of my daughters and step-daughters paid their own FULL tuition for college. i paid for both of my degrees FULL tuition. we did not ask for or want any help from anyone or any organization.
3. i pay taxes for road use and repair. in fact with the job i have i pay over $12,000 per year in road use tax.
4. what does religion have to do with it? the good Lord helps those who help themselves.
5. i consider my opinions as "personal responsibility" by not relying on others for my needs and wants
