I have been known to enjoy both a cigar and a pipe. Since this asked about pipes, though - I have a meerchaum and a Peterson bent that are both very nice. Then I have 1-2 pipes that are of the "nearly disposable" drug store variety.
I like the latakia blends myself, though I also like vanilla (if I'm in the mood for something scented).

Quite a few pipes here. Mostly old Dunhills, S. Bang's, and Chonowitz's. I don't smoke much anymore, but enjoy Old Ironsides, Balkan Saseini, and Penzance.

NO Cigarettes Allowed
I prefer the Dutch cigars myself, but I don't smoke that often.
My pipe sees different use.

I don't smoke a pipe ( well maybe only on vacation in Amsterdam ) but I roll my own smokes and use some nice flavoured tobacco leaf .. IMHO you'd be hard pushed to beat Dutch Halfzware shag .. all but a few of the curious old English tobacco's are very hard to come by ..... .....
Living and staying on the west coast of Scotland I'm spoiled for choice in the Whisky dept , also to you golf lovers I live about 40mins drive from Troon

I'm about a 4.5 hr drive from Skye , this used to be my vacation Isle - I used to visit about 3-4 times a year . I've taken the Talisker Distillery tour
. I'm not sure about Islay as I haven't visited there .... Incidentally both Whiskies you mention are very "peaty" some may say harsh but each to there own .. I like some of the more mellow malts like Macallan

keep this quiet , Im not a great Haggis eater .. I much prefer simply shooting them
