I'll cry, right after I get done laughing! But then again I lost hope in politicians a long time ago.

I've spent like 15 minutes trying to make sure this is not some april fools joke, but damnit I think he really said it.

As an amateur demographer myself, I applaud his efforts to pin down the exact physical dimensions and surface area of the region in question. Clearly a man who possesses a precise and mathematical mind, albeit perhaps a mind not completely au fait with the geological underpinnings of island structures .

We need to have 3 mandatory requirements for politicians.

1. A working knowledge of... anything.

2. An upper age limit.

3. A test for senility.

Oh, I know this one - 76% of the voters in his district voted for him making him... the best, or #1!
They could have as easily at no additional cost picked to vote for the Republican candidate, Catherine Davis, or any other candidate, but they decided he is the best.

I don't see what the big deal is. There are plenty of these guys running around there with their own interpretation of the physical world.
