Default what does your username mean?

I've seen some interesting usernames on this forum. I was just wondering what some of them meant; no one in particular, but rather everyone.
Mine is the name of a book written by my great grandfather. My grandmother says it is scottish gaelic for the words fire and ice combined.

Mine is my first name, Jimmy, along with the first initial of my last name, H. and AD because I suffer from acquisition disorders. The fact that HAD is one of the two most prevalent is a coincidence. The RAD is even worse.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Mine is less interesting, while sitting in my barracks room in mid 90s setting up first email account on my first computer a buddy asked to borrow a wrench. Being an Army mechanic it seemed fitting. So I typed wrench in, it told me it was taken. It offered wrench with different number combinations. None of them had any significance to me, so in an effort to use something I'd remember I used them last four of them phone number I had in my room. Wrench3047 was born and have used it on every internet account since.

Mine is pretty simple, all my friends have always called me B, Big B, Birn or Birnando. None of us remembers anymore how it came about but it has worked pretty well for the past 35 years. I've never met anyone else who goes by it
By the way, its pronounced like beer. Beernando, not Burnando.

I chose mine because CATV is my career.......and it's the best job I've had in my 23 years of working. I'm good at what I do and many on my team have called me "Dawg", so for me it was a great fit.

Default What does your username mean?

    Gentlemen:

My name does not mean anything. Actually, Obie is my nickname. My full name is Obelit. The original spelling of it is Uballit. I have told this story before at SRP:

I am a full-blooded Assyrian, named after Ashur-Uballit I (1363-1328 B.C.), one of the greatest kings of the ancient Assyrian empire. The Assyrian empire, which covered much of the present-Iraq, parts of the present-day Iran and Turkey, fell in 612 B.C. to the Medes and the Babylonians.

Subsequently, the Assyrian people scattered throughout the Middle East and the rest of the world, holding onto their national identity and roots. In ancient days, they were one of the first of the indigenous groups in the Middle East to convert to Christianity.

So here I am. At Senn High School in Chicago, my teachers had a difficult time pronouncing my full name Obelit. One day a teacher called me Obie and the name stuck. I don't much care for the name Obie, but am stuck with it. So just as well it doesn't mean anything.

    Regards,
    Obie

My avatar is of my dear Harley, a great dane who pasted away a couple of years back. I've had a few Great danes, but this guy was the biggest one.
    Both in size and personality.
