The guy I left negative feedback for has a 99.7% rating and has 150 negative feedbacks this year! Also, I begrudgingly agreed to a mutual withdrawal of feedback so as not to have my perfect rating tarnished. Unfortunatley, the comments still remain and so I have a negative comment after this very unsavory experience.

I got burned when asking for the delivery date. When I left feedback (positive) the guy left neutral feedback with the comment that I complained....thus making me out for someone who whines. (It had been over 2 weeks and it still wasn't there and was coming from europe).
I NEVER leave feedback untill I've received the item.

I always pay within 24 hours of receiving the item and leave feedback as soon as I inspect the item. I have been fortunate with my purchases so far, but I've only made like 11-12 purchases so far. Of those, 8 sellers bothered to leave me feedback as well. If a seller is slow with it, I send a polite reminder after a week and then leave it alone. Hassling someone for feedback is the best way to get a negative lol.

Ok I have a little dilemma. There's this razor I really like but the seller has a rating of 0 and prefers a cash payments in USD or EUR for international orders. I'm very wary of that seller. Actually I'm taking it off my list, but if anyone wants the Bartmann, and is willing to take a chance go for it...

If I'm reading the auction correctly, overseas buyers may use paypal.

I never leave feedback until I get a good look at the item.
I never leave negative feedback because I had a bad experience. I gave negative feedback to a seller who wouldn't respond to me after I hadn't received the item for a month after he cashed my money order. He left negative feedback for me and left a private message letting me know that it was malicious. It was my only negative and ruined a perfect record. I never got the item and after I put a lot of pressure on him the seller refunded my money.
That's still my only negative with over 160 positives. I don't need that kind of grief. I'd rather just not leave feedback than go through that again.

There are too many fishy things about that particular item:
1) He prefers cash money even though he has a paypal account.
2) I think I saw hone marks even though it's supposed to be a NOS item.
3) The presentation seems too professional for someone with a zero rating. The guy mentioned receiving cheques before and being charged to cash'em. That makes it possible (even probable) that he has already been on e-bay and opened a new account.
To give him the benefit of the doubt, he could have migrated to e-bay from another auction site, but I don't feel like gambling. I currently put a bid on another item that ends a day after this one and there are always others around. Eventually I'll catch my "big" score
