The Zombie Survival Guide is great, though not really a Zombie book per se.

I'm a great Zombie fan too. I think I've watched most and enjoyed them all, but I've only read a couple.
I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Looking forward to reading Dawn of the Dreadfuls
For movies I think I enjoyed 28 Days Later the most.
Zombieland was definitely good.I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Funny fact that seems to apply to most of my male friends, and to me as well if I'm honest.
Most of us have a zombie contingency plan. We know what we'd do if we woke up one morning to a world where only we, and a pretty brunette who falls over a lot, were the last people alive. We know where we'd get food, water, clothing, guns and transportation. We know where to shoot the zombies for maximum effect, we know that the best possible vehicle to steal is not that Ferrari we've always wanted, but a Land Rover Defender. We know that shotguns are better at close range, and a pump action is more reliable than a semi automatic.
We know all these things, but we have no idea what we'd do if there was a fire in the house.

thanks guys, i have read or seem most all those except for zombie, but i think i do have it here i just have to find it, its in a collection of zombie movies and the discs arent marked at all as they are just recorded third party discs. the problem is that i have seen so many i feel im running out of options.
zombie land definatley and awesome movie, i think dawn of the dead is my favorite (original and remake) i think my all time favorite zombie book (apart from the survival guide, cause everyone needs that for their collection) is either the "morningstar strain" series (unfortunately never completed due to the death of the auther) or the "day by day armageddon" series. both great books that i highly reccomend for anyone who likes zombies.
and yes it is true, we already have plans for when the outbreak happens, supposedly it is supposed to start in a small town in florida from what i hear lol

Stubear- I must add a proviso to your shotgun recommendation. Because of the weight of ammunition and generally slow reloads, shotguns are best for static defense and not a shoot and scoot scenario.
Oh, and if there is a fire in the house, move away from the gun room.
