To be honest, I too have lost touch with old friends who I have grown apart from. I am 32 years old, and many of my friends are still living life as they were 10 years ago. So, it is usually just me and my woman.
However, I do agree with this post. I am glad I stumbled upon this wonderful online community and it is nice to know there are other men out there who share the same passion and are always there to give advice.

As soon as you learn Dutch, you can start watching the M!LF: Men Liberation Front.
It's a show by 2 men who have started the war against all 'new men', and their goal is to turn men into 'real men' again. It's all tongue in cheek, but a really great show, and if I am honest, some of their points are things I agree with. Like when they did something about men who use day / night creams on their face, or who eat 'light' products.
Irony: MLF is also a real organization from France. Their initials stand for 'Mouvement de Liberation des Femmes.... FeministsTil shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Will I ever learn Dutch?...
I'm living in Brussels and working in Walonie so on a day to day basis, my language ends up being french. But I get your point! And yes, the fact that it mocks the MLF from France is hilarious. Because women needed to be liberated back in the 60's, today it's us that need to be liberated... Of course, it's not quite the same.
But I say "down with the night creams and the full body waxing and other nonsense". I say hurrah for brillcream, 3 piece suits and scotch!

We're a generation of men raised by women. I'm wondering if another woman is really the answer we need. ~ Tyler Durden
Your thread made me think of this... also, we as men, could look to those boys that are around us growing up without dads and reach out to them. Their mothers would appreciate the help and so will our country.

Thanked: 1160First of all .....Welcome to SRP and congrats on a well stated....statement heh ..... a real quick thanks to Jimmyhad for the Barber's advice qoute", I made a reference to it in another post and couldn't remember who's profile I had seen it on....it was very helpful...thanks man !(no pun intended) ha ha. This is very refreshing to see someone of your age writing this. I'm 47 and have been grumbling for years on this state of effeminization of the manly state. I am amazed at how I have been persicuted over the years for being a single white male who is into manly things . Apparently ....I am the scourge of the universe and am responsible for all the worlds problems. I have been judged many times for being manly which was very frustrating at times. This is a great bunch O guys for sure. Have a great manly shave and again welcome.
P.S. I too am a fan of The Art of Manliness site , thx to SRP for helpin me find it . Man O man!!

Just wanted to throw this out there: while I agree with the general sentiment expressed in this thread, I'm a lot more concerned about people learning how to be good people first than I am about men learning how to be good men.
Not that the latter isn't important, but walking before running, and all that.
