Sounds far from boring. Evangelism in the middle east could very well be a life or death proposition. I know the young man who was arrested for evangelism in Egypt a few yrs back. It took some time but our State Dept. finally arranged his release. He's now a missionary in Cyprus. Also supporting a family evangelizing in China, which is another dangerous place to be doing that. Nope, definitly not boring.

Not as dangerous as you'd think. The Middle East is the cradle of Christianity.
    1) Judaism stems from that region's mystery cults, and as we all know, it's the foundation of Christianity.
    2) From the early days, until the middle days of Christianity's prominence, the best theological minds were there simply b/c of the extensive libraries and a strong Greek scholarly culture. The rise of Islam directed that scholarly culture toward Islamic studies.
    3) Countries like Egypt and Lebanon still have a strong Christian presence. I meet Greek/Lebanese Christians all the time.
With that being said, I still wouldn't want to be preaching Christianity in Iran or Pakistan. Some countries have a fundamentalist sentiment that's too strong. I actually respect their faith and what really matters to me is that they found God even though they don't worship the same way we do.
