I do not mean any disrespect, I just want to point out that canned cream is one of the banned items through the mysoldier.com site. Others may allow it, however, I do not know.
To those that have served, serving, and will serve, thank you...

It is my opinion, and I think you and I agree, that the real issue here is to let the young people whose lives are placed in harm's way, know that someone is thinking about them, and that someone cares.
It's not the young that start wars, and it's not the elders who fight them.
Why is that???

help but to take it in a condesending way.
Yes, I should have read over the web site some more, but I
mainly just focused on making a donation via a check.
I have heard of others making packages for our troops and
canned shaving cream was one of the items listed. I just
assumed that this organization did as well. I guess I should
never just assume anything.

You have taken what I said wrongly. Text is a funny thing, it does not convey who the person is behind it very well.
When I said I do not mean any disrespect, what I was trying to say was, "I appreciate your willingness to help and the interest that you have invested in helping out others, so please do not be offended by my correction."
There was no intention to belittle or shame you. That is the last thing I would ever want to do, simply because I do not like it when others do it to me... And if you took my statement as such, I apologise for any anguish or anxiety it caused. I just wanted to ensure the packages you and others send reach their intended destinations... That is all...
The fact that you care enough to do something for someone else, means that your tops in my book.
Thank you for addressing this issue of my last statement, and giving me a chance to clarify what I actually was intending to say, instead of carrying a grudge and festering.
A lastly, thank you for helping out our soldiers abroad,
Mark.Last edited by mslovacek; 05-12-2006 at 03:30 AM.

I do not think you overacted, and I am glad you spoke up. Now that everything is in the wash, no feelings are hurt, no festering anger, and no misunderstandings.
You did the right thing!
Mark.
