Bay Rum Drink
From the 2 and a half minutes of Googling I did, I've concluded that a Bay Rum drink has not happened. So here's the question, can it be done? I know Bay Rum aftershave/cologne contains things that we can't consume, but can a drink with rum in it be made that tastes like bay rum smells (preferably with bay leaves as well)?
Thoughts? Suggestions? Am a-talkin' the crazy talk??
Thanks

Thanked: 6You could maybe even make a simple syrup with some clove or allspice. And no you're not the first one to look at a bay rum bottle after smelling it and think " Hmmm... how sick would this make me"

Okay, I'm having a Halloween party at my place this weekend, so this is going on the shopping list. What moderately priced rum would be best suited for this? I was thinking Capt. Morgan's spiced just because it's good and "spiced," but it seems like I should get something a little darker than that...
Thoughts?

i attempted my own bay rum recipe and used sailor jerry's rum.. it's very spiced and has a very nice sweet cherry scent to it... the aftershave was a success.. i never tried drinking it though.

Thanked: 995Try some Cruzan Black Strap. You'll get the good molasses flavor.
