I haven't been able to master the nedi pot, but my old stand by was to go out in the back yard and dig up a hunk of Horse radish.
Spin it in the Vitamix with a touch of sugar, water, vinegar.
Pray a little, grab a paper towel and eat one heaping tea spoon.
Very quickly all passages open and any mucous is released with prejudice.
Don't forget to pop your eyes back into their sockets before you try to get up off the floor.
Yes I have done this. It works, and yes it is briefly painful.
The radish must be fresh 90% of the store bought stuff is just too weak.
Feel better soon.

Hope you get better soon Jimmy.
Dude should have been at least wearing a dust mask if he was around people.
Not to argue with Ron but Vit C works better if it has "other stuff" in it ie Bioflavinoids but I don't know what Emergen-C isThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Hope you feel better soon. Colds just make you miserable. Anyway I do a few things:drink lots of water, have chicken soup and lately been taking the coldeez sugar free which seem to shorten the duration.

Look at it this way Jimmy, the older you get the more resistant you get to more strains of the virus so at your advanced age-har har it must have been germzilla that got you.
Like they say plenty of fluids and Vit C and time are the best things to do.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Ugh.. I hate having a cold about as much as anyone possibly could. I tried to link Dayquil's new "Man Cold" commercial
I hope you feel better soon.
So, Ron's point reminded me of my trip to Subway yesterday. I'm waiting in line, and the "sandwich artist" starts hacking up a lung and sniffing while preparing to start assembling my sandwich... "You know... I think I'll pass" I said and left

Thanked: 3795I certainly don't take it as an argument, and I disagree with my wife as well over Emergen-C, which she used for a few years, but I don't consider it to be any more helpful than plain old vitamin C and a multivitamin. It just costs a LOT more.
INGREDIENTS:
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid, zinc ascorbate, chromium ascorbate), thiamin (thiamine hydrochloride), riboflavin (riboflavin 5'-phosphate sodium), niacin, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), folic acid, vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), pantothenic acid (calcium pantothenate), calcium (calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, cranberry powder, calcium pantothenate), magnesium (magnesium hydroxide, cranberry powder), zinc (as zinc ascorbate), manganese (as manganese gluconate), chromium (as chromium ascorbate), sodium (as sodium bicarbonate, monosodium phosphate), potassium (as potassium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate, monopotassium phosphate, cranberry powder), alpha lipoic acid, quercetin.
Other Ingredients: Frustose, cranberry powder, citric acid, natural flavors, tapioca maltodextrin, malic acid, silica, glycine, aspartic acid, tartaric acid, and cysteine hydrochloride.
Also contains (per serving):

Thanked: 96Once you feel a cold it is has already run its course and you only feel the aftermath. The thing that will help prevent the next one is getting plenty of vitamin d, or better put, sunlight. I hope you get feeling better Jimmy.
