Gosh I must lead a boring life!

I just went down to the wash and without wear and color considered I found 3 definite variations in 14 socks. One of the variations is a calf high model that my wife bought and said "I hope you don't mind." So we toss that one out. I actually like those! I wonder if the others might be size 10-13 and 12-16 models or something like that.

Let me know of your findings.

Has anyone else noticed a decline in Gold Toe quality, or maybe did I just catch a bad batch?

Any recommendations for a good quality, durable, black sock?

    Thanks a lot.
For goodness sake write them a letter.
You have a history to compare with and you
    were a happy customer.

It is possible that your last purchase was counterfeit.
It is not just the big fancy name products like Coach and Prada
that are counterfeit... so tell them that something
changed also where and when you purchased them
    as best you can remember.

And yes I like mine too. It would be a bummer
if a good product went away or went bad.

    A thread on socks Awesome!!!!
But strangely enough I was thinking that wear today aren't as good as they used to be. can anyone reccommend a good make available in the UK for every day use.

Lets just hope no one mentions the problems of the
"ODD SOCK SITUATION!!!!!" in their sock draw.

    Default Sock quality

A decline of sock quality - What next.

This has got to be a sign of things to come.

Strange as heck. On Good Morning America today they mentioned
socks as one of the products that is no longer made anyplace
in America with the exception of those that knit their own.

Well, I wrote them an email the other day, and today I got a response asking me to send in a pair of the defective socks, which they will replace. I still don't have much hope for the situation, but at least they're showing some kind of interest. I'll let ya'll know what comes of it.

For years Gold Toes were made about 15 mins from my house. Unfortunately they closed their doors a year or two ago, went to China and went downhill fast.
I too like the wigwams. The better half hot me some from Uniqlo and they're very nice.

While cleaning and conditioning my leather jacket tonight I used a well worn Gold Toe for a rag. It worked great! My delema now is what am I going to do about the odd number of socks in my drawer?
