Glenrothes is one my my favorite non-islay malts (others are highland park and edradour). Macallan used to be a favorite, but it's gone downhill since Suntory bought them and made them quadruple production.

The problem is I was drinking out of my budget. My dad had gotten the bottle as a gift and I love to buy one for myself but at $400.00 for 700ml its just WAY out of my league.

    But I loved it!

That seems awfully pricey. My glenrothes is the 1974 and I think it was only about $240 or so.

    Glenrothes at Spec's Online

(Ready access to Spec's is one of the perks that help make up for putting up with Houston's humidity)
