    Oh, on that note... hot scotchie... early morning brewing session, you take a pint of the first runnings of the mash (very sweet, caramelly high gravity first runnings from the malt prior to boiling, warm (around 150 degrees or so). You add a couple fingers of scotch to it and nurse that while you're sparging your mash. Guaranteed to make a brew session go smoothly.
