Gov. Christie is a lying asshole. The problems he is fixing were created by the other lying asshole Christie Todd Whitman by raiding the public employee pension funds. Whitman took public employee pension money to pay for her tax relief. When she did this, the pension system in NJ was 103% funded. The deficit in the system was caused by the Governor taking money that was not theirs to spend. At the same time, they passed bills that made it so the local governments did not have to make their contributions to the systems. The public employees kept paying into the system as the Governor raided the system for billions. After driving the system into the ground, the new fat asshole wants to balance the budget by making the same people pay again.
The public employees in the State of NJ did not create the problem, the politicians did. All one needs to do is do some research and not believe the crap spewing from Christie's mouth. If you want to know how I feel, send me any money you have saved. I'll piss it away on things for my friends but don't fear, you can just keep paying.
If I sound angry, that would be an understatement because people like you believe that lying ass wipe and his cronies and villainize teachers, cops, firemen and other public employees. Public employees are not the enemy.
Very well stated. Thanks.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thanked: 317I want someone I can vote for. In my life, I've never been able to vote for the president. I've always been forced to vote against the other candidate. The last 3 elections I had to choose between candidates of such mind blowing incompetence, that it didn't really seem to matter. It was just about who I thought might do the least damage. 2 of the 3, the candidate I voted for won, but I'm not sure I voted the right way in any of them, because all options were terrible.
What does that candidate look like?
Fiscally conservative, but not in the political sense. In the "I have X dollars to spend, and my budget will be smaller than X because only by living below our means can we ever reduce the national debt."
Not indebted to corporate America or special interests of any kind, not even the ones I like.
Able to correctly pronounce the word nuclear.
Morally conservative, and once again, not in the politcal sense like the extremist so far to the right that they've almost swung back around to the left moralizing nut-jobs, but morally conservative in the tradition, sane, normal sense.
Willing to go to war when we have no choice, but reluctant to engage in pseudo-wars with no clear goals, which is how I would describe most (but certainly not all) of the conflicts we've engaged in since the beginning of Vietnam. Or to put it another way, someone who understands that when you need to go to war, you go to war, kick the ever loving crap out of who you need to, then go home.
Ready willing and able to get congress to completely scrap and redesign our tax code from the ground up. (yeah right)
Ready willing and able to get congress to scrap at least half of HUD, social security, medicare, medicaide, obamacare, and every other social program. (yeah right)
Someone who does not call it a "budget cut" when the budget goes up by half a trillion dollars, just because they wanted to raise it 3/4 of a trillion.
Of course, there is no such candidate, and probably won't be in my lifetime. So, once again, I'll be voting for a lizard for president because we all know that you have to vote for a lizard, so the wrong lizard doesn't get the job.......

Well said. I honestly think there will have to be a revolution in this country before things are right. The Presidency can be bought and as long as that is true, the people funding their President will make decisions in their own interest and not the interest of the people, used in the sense it was in the Constitution.

Well, my friends, I could be up there one day (not President, no way. I would never want that job!)
But I'm majoring in Government and minoring in US History at Liberty University, the most conservative school in the United States. Hopefully, one day, I can help to bring our country back to it's former glory.

sorry here... this may be a weird question, but what exactly is a Government major? Does anyone actually in government have that under their belt?

IMO. It's so simple it's stupid. I want the guy who wants me and all the other Fine Americans to carry a gun. I want the guy who will say,
"War Is The Answer". I want the guy who would tell anybody from the Middle East to Europe, from Corporations to illegal aliens, "Up Yours" if it conflicts w American interest. I want the guy who would take away welfare to make those Americans self reliant. I want a guy like Ted Nugent
