Well, I still have to formally accept it, but it has been offered to me and I can't see any reason I'd turn it down.

It's only a .2 teaching position, which means I would be teaching a single class every day. But, I have been told I would also get priority to sub in the building. Another upside is I won't have a completely overwhelmed first year teaching; pretty much every new teacher I know has said it's hell. I'll still have all the usual problems, but I'll have much more time to deal with them and much less work to grade.

Oh yea, and I'll have more time for razors, and I won't have to give up being a mod (which I probably will when I first start teaching full time).

The main downside is that a buddy of mine also interviewed for the job, and he has a wife and kid, so I know he could have used the work.

Please excuse me for signing this post.
