Barber's, grocer's, hairdresser's, lawn mower's, teacher's, lecturer's and other's .... rejoice! Apostrophe Day! My pet hate is people using apostrophe's in plural's. Sometimes I take a sharpie with me to the green grocer's and fix up their sign's: "banana's" is particularly prevalent here. Banana is what? Or perhaps you meant the possessive case? Or perhaps you are simply ignorant!!! I cannot believe we allow these people to vote! This is what is wrong with democracy IMO.

Yes, perhaps I was too hasty... sorry. What I meant to say was that the weight of one's vote should be inversely proportional to the prevalence of one's misused apostrophes, as opposed to the current system where the weight of one's vote is directly proportional to the size of one's bank balance.
