An hour and a half of vacuuming and the basement is dry. Ish.
60 Gallons of water, give or take.
Now for the funny angle:
My neighbors down the street spent much of the afternoon cleaning their driveways and the gutter and streets in front of their property.
I didn't get around to that, due to the time needed for emptying my basement. An hour or so, in a rare display of civic duty, the county workers came and thoroughly cleaned the street I sure was glad I hadn't spent the time yet to do so myself.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 39Having the opposite problem in Texas. It hasn't rained here since May and it's been over 100 degrees every day for over a month. Everything green has turned brown or turned to dust. It's starting to look like a scene out of the Grapes of Wrath. Please send your clouds this way!
