Default Straight razors and Cruise Ships

Does anyone know if they will let you bring straight razors aboard? I will be going on a Celebrity ship.

    Thanks Glen

I don't see why not. It's not like you could slam the boat into the CN Tower at supersonic speeds.

I doubt it. As I recall they don't want any sort of knife on board. The three primary activities on a cruise ship are drinking, gambling, and the horizontal mambo, all of these are prone to causing trouble.

Besides, if the ship I was on was a representative example, there's this wierd sideways pulse every few seconds from the steering jets that's not gonna make straight shaving any fun. Take an electric or M3.

probably no straights (check anyway)....but you can still push someone over the railing and kill them....just make sure you are not to clean shaven when you do it or you may get in trouble....

I'd call the company direct vs. calling the travel agent. And I'd also do it again the day before departure.

I sent the cruise line an email, have not heard back yet. Maybe the travel agent, but they always tell you what you want to hear. With my new job and extra travel time I use a DE on occasion. Got one of those blade samples from LetterK on the
B & B site. Never tried a M3 and refuse to use a lawn mower!
I will most likely be using the DE for a week.

Where did you purchase your Dorco blades?

I never actually had to buy any, my barber gave me a new 10 pack everytime I went for a haircut. This site claims to sell 100 for them for around $14.50, I a havent ever used them though: http://www.lglivart.com/catalog/prod...products_id=93
