    Media player classic plays darned near anything, and it's safe. I've used it for years with no spyware/malware problems. But if you can't get an mpeg to play on WMP, then I reckon you've got a faulty mpeg.

    I loath Flash video files!

    I had a the same problem with VLC and the problem was solved by going to the properties and adding (checking) the FLV codec. In some instances when VLC is installed it may not install that particular codec but if you accept the FULL codec pack it will be enabled.

    If you have an FTP I can d/l it and run it through some equipment and help you out.

    WMP on XP stopped working on old MPG's some time ago. I recently switched to W7 and WMP seems to be working again.

    I use Winamp for FLV and to play Mp3s.

    Yeah, the right codecs might not be installed. Also you might try anther type of output file from the camera if you have that option.

    I ended up working on it for five hours and just giving up. lol. I deleted the file, and I'll try again another time when I've got five hours I feel like devoting to it. Thanks for all the advice and help guys!
