When I worked for the INS we had warehouses full of everything you could imagine. Computers, laptops,mobile and base station radios, firearms, ammo. The process to requisition the stuff was so difficult and the existence of the stuff was kept secret unless you knew someone who told you about it. Most became obsolete and was given away to foreign countries like err...Mexico.
A story to make you cry? Many years ago the Border Patrol had been issued BARs all brand new in the original wooden crates. Someone in Washington decided it was an improper weapon for them and they were all collected up and sent to a metal foundry and they all went into the furnace.Last edited by thebigspendur; 07-02-2012 at 03:34 PM.
