Tell me about it, there was a big push locally to reduce water usage and it worked!! The only problem is the lost revenue from water had to be recouped somehow, so they just raised the cost on my water bill. Nice eh? Use less water and it ends up more expensive than it did when we 'wasted' it.

the Bud company uses more water in one day than I will use in a lifetime of shaving. Sounds like an april fools joke to me

Why do we need to save water? Surely the question should be how should we collect and conserve water so that it is freely available to all. The amount of water in our universe does not, and has not, ever changed. It either gets used and recycled or flows underground and then evaporates and then rains and so on and so on. Basically the water we drink now has been recycled endless times, but it's still the same water - the issue is how to distribute it across the globe during times of need..
Anyone who thinks you use gallons of water whilst shaving is a fool - try filling up your shaving mug then pour it into a pint pot and then calculate that 8 pints is a gallon (in UK terms) - I would be surprised if you get anywhere near a couple of pints in the whole process from start to finish.

Now try what the typical male does and turn your sink on for 3-5 minutes at full blast and see how many pints you get. It's the same argument as brushing teeth and wasting water.
