Thread: President's Speech

It looked like only ABC carried the President's speech. To bad considering it was a very important subject. Although I can't find "global economy" in the USA consitution. I guess gradually going back to FDR, our government has been forcing us to accept a one world government or a one world leader. All he did durning the speech was state the question agian after it was asked and then really said nothing. Avoided qquestions and more or less just stumbled through the speech. Willard(Mitt) Romney doesn't look much better.

Colossians 2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

I Corinthians 5:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures;"

Colossians 1:27 "To whom God would make know what is the riches of the glory of the mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

We need a third party in this country, and a leader that will direct us back tto the Lord Jesus Christ!

How about a leader that will continue to ensure you are free to worship as you choose to?

I'm not entirely sure a Government should lead a people toward a religion - seems to me that hasn't worked out too well for the world where it has been tried in the past (and present).

I would have thought the religious journey is a personal one. There are plenty of Christians, leaders or otherwise, out there to help you along your journey. I am sure you don't need a President to take on that role as well as everything else.

We already have third parties and preachers who are supposedly trained to that very thing. Also for what it's worth the Bible also says in Romans 13 "there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." So I guess if Obama is a power that be, he is already ordained of God - I'm going to have to get a new translation or else maybe it's just God working in mysterious ways! I'd hate to vote out God's ordained, but for Obama I'll make an exception!

PS I almost forgot Jimmy Carter was a Christian Sunday School teacher. In my opinion he probably should have stayed one

Sorry it may take me sometime days before I can reply to a post. HNSB as far as leading you don,t need to make laws to lead, have you ever heard of the bullu pulpit (pulpit) where the captin gives orders on a ship. People always get scared if anyone metions God nowdays. Our whole countries heritage in from the Holy Scriptures. So Yes and Yes! As far as Gods anointed or ordained that is true Obama was ordained Clinton was ordained, and good old George Washington was ordained and a Bible Believeing Baptist also, and none of the fore mention presidents could hold a candle to him on both military and enconomics! So God heaaters and atheist or agonostics or even religous people that read my post don't have a heart attack or start foaming at the mouth when God and Government is mention once the wall to the temple was torn in Isreal, that was the end of a God State set up even when the age of salvation turned into the time of the Gentiles. I don't believe in a Church State set up type of Government and at this time neither does God (the Lord Jesus Christ) although in the futre when he comes back and destroies the UN. The Lord Jesus Christ will set up a 1,000 year reign in which he is the sole ruler he on the whole earth and no one will have anything to say about it. Amen! Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho!

Why watch a speech when you can simply get the summary and the talking points from your favorite pundits? And then you can simply say you've thought it yourself!

Isn't that the whole point of religion? But then I don't see why can't one tell what a man really is by the bits and pieces they pick and chose..

They should be as far apart as possible

Keep in mind that all religions are equal in the US therefore when you say "Back to our Lord Jesus Christ", you open the same door for Praise be to Allah and Sharia Law, or Harm no One and the Wiccans, so unless you are prepared to embrace other's religion I suggest that you keep Religion out of Government...
