We're at about $2.17 NZD for a liter of 95/96 at the moment or about €1.33. And here was I thinking I was being ripped off! I think I'll go fill up the car! Lol

Maybe I'm at risk of showing my age. Talking about the "value" of a dollar. I remember paying $0.18 per gallon. Pack of Camel regular was $0.25. A brand new Colt's Government model 1911A-1 .caliber .45 was $135.00 USD full retail. Of course if you made $100.00 USD per week that was big money. Now a dollar is worth a dime in equivalent buying power.
Colt gov model $1,499.00 at Cabella's.

Thanked: 267With all these quotes in the cost of gasoline how much of the price is due to taxes? The governments, world wide, make more more off the taxes than the companies that drill, refine, and distribute.

Oh, and in answer to the tax question......over 50% of the price is taxes. I hate our government for that.
