Thanked: 1371Can someone give me a cliff's notes version of what specifically about the act you like or don't like.
Maybe I can't read between the lines well, but it seems like people on both sides think the act does things that, from my understanding, it doesn't do.
What am I missing?
Why is no one concerned about Chief Justice Roberts' opinion as it relates to taxation as a means to bypass the limitations of the commerce clause?
Why is no one concerned about what will happen when the party opposite of them is in power?
If you haven't done so, and you get a chance, you should read Justice Roberts' opinion. I think a lot of people that are currently doing a "happy dance" might not be so happy any more, and I think those that are sulking will be briefly entertained, but should also be very concerned.
Most of the comments I've read in various places on the internet, regarding the decision have focused on the act (and probably rightfully so) but there are many other things to discuss - things that could potentially have a far bigger impact than an act that, from what I can tell, doesn't do as much as people think it does.Last edited by HNSB; 06-28-2012 at 11:40 PM.
