Almost 2 weeks since order from ClassicShaving sent, judging by the "Arrive by Christmas" time frames, the package should arrive soon.

    *sigh* Christmas season....

Hey Ag doesn't it just make you sick when you think if you lived in another part of the country you'd be livin' large? I'm in Massachusetts and it's expensive here too. Problem with the rurals is that in order for me to go to another office it has to be a mutual exchange. What person is going to go from a lower cost of living to a higher one? Unless, it's for personal reasons. You city guys can have the management on your butt all day. I couldn't take that. This is the only month we can get overtime so they are doing everything possible to prevent it. I don't have a problem with that because I understand the game.

Good luck with getting something less stressful. Hope it works out.

Tell me about it! As a Part Time Regular I was working only thirty hours a week. I was only just getting by and always worried the the next car repair bill or some other expense would bury me. The worst was the knowledge that thirty hours a week in most other parts of the country could buy me a house where here it could barely cover rent on a small studio apartment(and that's in the not so great part of town). The one biggest plus of living here is the mild year 'round climate. Today, as a matter of fact, I didn't need to wear a sweater or jacket on the route. I see the pictures in the union magazine of carriers in places like Minnesota who are all bundled up out in a snow storm with icicles hanging from their eyebrows . Anyway, today didn't go so well. Things happened to cause me to fall behind schedule and my foot got worse so I limped and hobbled through the entire route. What was supposedly a total of seven hours both office and street time combined turned into more than ten . Needless to say, I'm going to get an earful when I begin tour tomorrow . Oh, well. One more reason to dread going to work . But I've pretty much decided to talk with the shop steward about light duty and whether management will retaliate by giving me only four hours a day(when I went back to carrying I had to start as a Part Time Flexible again so I'm not guaranteed an eight hour day). Or maybe I'll just pray harder for that giant, invisible asteroid...
