So I guess we can possible deduce that basically religion of the extreme variety and politics are the root cause of most of mankind's ills in the broadest sense. Again nobody escapes culpability, we have all been guilty in some form at one time or another. No surprise there either.

I didn't beg today when I left work early and went to the range for a few hours with a reformed Canadian (not quite sure why he didn't move back home after college but he got a green card and lives in Philly now) who's a decent shot with his CZ75. He blasted most of a brick of .22 through my Ruger MKIII . He had some fun with my AR 15 as well. Then he took out my Marlin 336 and claimed his shoulder was sore after 4 shots. So then I handed him a .41 mag with the first half the cylinder loaded with low power cowboy loads and the second half with full strength ... I was amused.
    Back to the begging...
My wife begged me tonight. To do the dishes, take the trash out and put the kids to bed. I may be begging for a crossbow next

Remember one thing one of your American brothers might not, especially after all this crap, we might just watch you try and talk yourself out of it. It's a thought........

That what discussions are all about, problem solving by working toward a common consensus that everyone can live with. Too bad that does not work with gun issues among others.

As something of an aside, here's a TX cop who is happy that citizens there can have carry permits/licenses. Gotta' watch out for those antique Texans...

I didn't read the whole thread, or even a significant portion. I think any person of sound mind should be allowed to own a semi automatic firearm. And I think anyone found using this weapon on human beings while not engaged in warfare, or law enforcement should be killed on the spot. It'd only have to happen a couple times I think before these supposed crazies were able to rationalize a little better. Then again...myopic, undereducated, paranoid, authoritarian, and decisive are all things a person could say about me without too much retaliatory feedback.

On the subject of government: I don't think they ought to have to deal with 98 percent of the crap we ask them to sort out for us. We are steadily turning into a nation of 8 year olds, willing to toss our (and everyone who shares our space) rights to the wind at the first hint of discourse, in order to win the argument. Interestingly, I know several individuals who, at the age of 8, were trustworthy with a firearm. Boy this is a long thread. Have fun guys, I'm not continuing. lol.

Man, right now I'm working in Denver. Even though I have a valid AZ CCW resident permit which is recognized here, I'm pretty sure if I got stopped and frisked by Denver PD, especially now after the shooting, there would be quite some discussion with a fairly large number of Denver's finest.

In AZ on the other hand: I got stopped by AZ HP a few months ago, on the highway not far from my home in Prescott. I had been out shooting (legally) in the national forest, and was carrying on my person a Glock 29, a S&W 66, and a J-Frame, with an AK and a Mossy 500 in the trunk.

The officer, who looked like a fit old cowboy, didn't bat an eye when I told him I was armed, just nicely asked me to step out the car, and then proceeded to divest me of my armament in a very relaxed and professional manner. He didn't care about the stuff in the trunk. He did ask why I was carrying three handguns, and I told him about my shooting activity. "Oh", he says, "That's just where me and my buddies go shootin' from time to time. By the way, these are some nice pistols you got here!". Then he let me off with a warning for 64 in a 55 zone. I love Arizona!!!

Easy now, let's get the facts straights Ford took no money.... They simply went to see what the deal was, and then said "No thank you" So if Alan Mulally wants to fly his jet on his money he can...
