I like weightlifting and gymnastics best. If anyone says weightlifting ? What is so 'great' about weightlifting ?

Congrats UK for the great openings. Watched it all last night.
I all happy to watch any event, but specially i'm interested to see how (poorly) my country does. Also most interested to watch soccer and if some legends like Phelps of USA will make history or not.
Not to forget about womens beach volleyball of course.
For those who are specially interested in that, local teams play it every weekend at the riverside at summer. Not all wear bra. I'm sorry to say that those girls are about the age of my daughter so i feel a bit like dirty old man watching them

Fantastic opening! Nice break from the murder, mayhem and political BS we put up with everyday. See, we CAN all just get along...
Favorites:
- Women's beach volleyball, mainly because I'm a dirty old man, but I would like to see the US girls win for a 3rd time!
- Men's wrestling - man these guys are getting big! The Cuban flag-bearer in the opening ceremony was the only one just waving his flag around in one hand, unsupported, with a big smile on his face! Gotta see him fight...
- Women's and men's boxing - I like the slightly more technical bent of Olympic boxing. Women's boxing has made incredible strides over the years, eager to see some of that newer talent fight.
- Judo, Taek-Won-Do - I just like watching fights ;-)
- Fencing - also a fight, but incredibly fast and subtle, exciting to watch.
- Also on the list: Swimming, 100m run, basketball (quite a US dream team this year. I hope LeBron and Kobe play nice together...).
