I don't think people will ever understand the true gravity of the situation concerning people not having proper training using can openers. If we simply tighten the laws things like this wouldn't happen. Would you let your daughter go out in the real world without can opener regulations?
Today I opened a can of lentil soup with one of those rudimentary can openers, the kind that work almost like an opposite bottle opener. I was at school, and that’s all there was to use, because months earlier I broke the regular can opener, and didn’t replace it because I would always forget, until I had to open a can of soup.

Thanked: 1587Can openers don't open cans, *people* open cans. Can openers are just tools. Nevermind that they are tools designed specifically for opening cans, they cannot do it in and of themselves - they need people to turn the handle.
