Funny thing, back in the '70s I bought an electric can opener. I hated the damn thing. I still used the swingaway. I have an old P-38 that I used to wear on my key chain. These kids today don't know how tough we had it back in those days ...... no pop tops .......

Yes, but if you have one in the same location as the can opener, even if it's not installed, you still have to pay the tax!

My favorite are the bigger ones, like on a swiss army knife.
The P38 is too flimsy for me. I like having a bigger handle.

Does this mean you have a concealed can opener permit? With the proper training an authorized permit holder could open a serious can of whoop-ass. I'm just sayin'.

I prefer the manually operated one that you turn the "butterfly" while squeezing the handles together. Or one in my Gerber Multi Plier or Victorinox/Wenger Swiss knives. My wife likes the automatic one. It works only half the time. I think the automatic ones should be banned. They scare me. There is no good use for a common "untrained" person to have one of these.................

I have a cache of military grade can openers. You never know when the citizenry will have to rise up and take back the state cannery operations, as our forefathers once did. As they said back then, and it holds true today: "No beans without representation!"

They should have developed a semi automatic can opener and outlawed the fully automatic ones ..... I guess they figured people would just buy the conversion kit anyway. They can take my can opener from my cold dead fingers is all I can say !!!!
