Thanked: 884A buddy of mine and I had a shop and we built a couple Pitts S-1's and some other home brewed half designed abortions. Fixed a LOT of old tube and rug stuff from Stearmans to ultra-frights (flying lawn furniture)
They'd crash 'em or bend 'em up and we'd make 'em well again. Even worked on Richard Bach's ( Richard Bach )old Parks-Detroit after he sold it to a rich lawyer. THAT was a COOL old plane. I guess the lawyer still has it. I've lost track of all that stuff nowadays.
It was fun while it lasted. Unfortunately that party ended. LOLMember Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
