You my friend are not alone.
Sadly, we all must face some of lifes worse moments. It feels like we do it alone, but we aren't. Thanks to God, we have our family and friends to help share the burden. Please, feel free to share anything you wish. If it helps, for sure do it!!! It never hurts to get some of it out. And typing it helps to focus those thoughts, which brings it's own form of relief.
All I can do to help is to be there as a friendly ear, ready to hear whatever you need me (us) to to allow you to grieve in your way. I have been so blessed, not losing too many of my friends or family yet, but my days are numbered, as both of my parents are very aged, even my oldest sister is now of the age to be a concern. Hell, my whole family is getting to be the age now where any one of us could go at any moment. It's a sobering thought.
I hope Ray was happy at the end, and didn't suffer, as those of us who are left behind must.
All my best to you, our brother in blades.
M-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --
