Tell me about it Bob! I just didn't really want to go too deep. The fact is, even if you are a rocket scientist; if the country that you wish to move to doesn't have a rocket program they could, and most likely will, deny your application
.
Take that from a guy who knows! I have been in the USA for 5 years and still haven't got a work visa...
Heck they had to post an add here asking people to apply for my wife's job before she was allowed to fill the position lol.David

Thanked: 3228Yea, had a friend whose wife graduated as an RN and got a visa to work in the states. My buddy was allowed to accompany her but could not work in the US legally.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I wish I could have been a RN - what a great profession if you are inclined to travel! Alas I couldn't do it if my life depended on it lol!
I couldn't, or rather wouldn't work illegally here in the US even if I could and yeah, I have had offers. The repercussions if caught, are just too dear now that I have a family, house, etc here. I'll never get the moneys... large moneys I have lost out on moving here, but then it was my decision. All in all, KS has been very good to me, though being an legal alien with no social in America absolutely bites chunks!! Just renewing my drivers licence that they'll only issue two year temporary ones is absolute hell and a three part process!!David

Wouldn't that be something if you could lol. The government would never loose out on that cash stream though lol. But it's a great sentiment, so thanks.
Should be getting a work visa at the end of the year or early next, so it's all good. It's coming... or I am leaving lol! I can't wait to get back into the workforce! You on the other hand... Enjoy your retirement!! You deserve it!!David

That's why I put that last sentence in my post
If you have a big bubble followed by a big depression to correct fot it that doesn't mean that the world is ending. It's relatively easy to shift profits and losses in time, just like having gains and loses 'on the books' doesn't mean they are real.
Actually this is a direct result of 'money' lacking much inherent value. The value of gold is something relatively high, only because enough people think that something shiny and hard to find is somehow desirable. But say in teotwawki scenario, gold would be pretty worthless compared to say steel, or seeds, or food.
If you are objective in our days the most useful properties of gold are high conductivity (thermal/electrical) and and low chemical affinity. Everything related to 'rarity' is a result of a mass psychosis

Hate to foresee the future.... But I don't think any of us has seen anything yet!!
Bad times stay away from my door!
