Thread: Engraving?

I wonder if you could paint a blade if you wanted to. Maybe like those cool graffiti murals you see on Freeways. What material might work for that? I know it sounds goofy but.....

Larry, I know there are compounds for blueing the steel. Maybe you could achieve some patterns by oxidizing the metal. Another option (coming from one of my Bokers, for sale soon ) is to mirror-finish the blade, protect a pattern with tape and satin-finish the rest, thus leaving only the pattern in mirror.
